Creating and Publishing a Landing Page

A landing page is a Web page where a recipient lands, after clicking on a link in a promotion, an email, an add banner, etc. It is different from a "normal" page. Its main purpose is to realize a specific action (downloading a doc, requesting an estimate, requesting an appointment). This page does not contain navigation and could contain several versions. To learn more about good practices for landing pages, see this article.

Before Starting

It is recommended to configure the Landing Pages module (domain name, favicon, folders to organize the pages, custom scripts, 404 error page, IP filters, and behavioural tracking consent).

Before going to step 1, make a plan: define your landing page goals and the content you want to integrate into the page (texts, images, logo).

Step 1: Creating a Landing Page

Start by going to the Landing Pages section and click on Create:
Fill in the required information: Name: Give a name to your page. This name will be displayed only on Dialog Insight platform, not on the published landing page.
URL: The URL is generated automatically with the page name, but you can modify the last part. The URL is visible to the page visitors, so make it short and relevant. You could also use a custom domain name.
Language: This option indicates the page language for search engines.

Step 2: Editing Global Styles and Configurations

To edit the page globally, go to the page Summary, then click on Edit in the top menu:

In Styles and configurations, edit the page's global styles (colors, fonts, page width). You can also configure information for search engines, social media sharing and browser cookies:

Step 3: Add Content

Start by going to the Summary of the landing page, then click on Edit in the top menu:

To add content, you must first add layout blocks (columns):These blocks are containers for content blocks (image, text, button, etc.). To customize the columns' styles, click on the edit icon (pen).
Then, choose content blocks depending on the type of content you want to integrate (see the list below).
Drag and drop the content block inside a layout block (columns):These content blocks have editable styles (colors, size, margins). To edit the blocks, click on the edit icon (pen).

Step 4: Personnalize Content

You can generate content that adapts dynamically to targeted recipients depending on data extracted from the contact's profile, project, company or system information. For more information, see the article on personalization parameters.

Step 5: Define the Conversion Goals

In the upper right, when you are in the Edit window. The links inserted in the page content (buttons, calls to action, social media) are displayed in the list of choices for conversion goals. Choosing among these links allows you to compile statistics on visitors who reached the goal(s) of the landing page.

If more than one version of your page exists, you will need to set these parameters for each version.

Conversion stats are derived from the data indicated here. Results appear in the summary section.

Step 6: Publish the Page

First, click on the Edit icon (pen) to go in the page you want to publish:
To publish your page, click on Publication:You can select dates for publication and expiration, which specify the display period. You can modify these dates at any time:

Note: If you make changes, do not forget to republish the page.
