You can personalize right the opt-out form provided by default in Dialog Insight by adding a logo and changing texts and colors as needed. This form is dynamic and displays the proper opt-out options, whether you have enabled the consent center (C-28) or not.

If you need a more elaborated visual, Dialog Insight can design a custom form just for you.

The main difference between using a consent center or not using one is as follows:

With: The contact is never deactivated, but rather unsubscribed for the requested communications.
Without: The contact is deactivated.

Example of an opt-out form presenting all the options:

There are 3 opt-out options available, which can be offered one at a time or combined:

Option Behavior
Global Opt-out On a single click, the contact is unsubscribed from all opt-ins.
Opt-out from this communication type On a click, the contact is unsubscribed from the communication type related to the received message.
Opt-out choice A check box is displayed for each active opt-in, that only needs to be unchecked to opt-out.
If the contact has more than one opt-in, he will have the option to uncheck those he doesn't want to receive anymore.
Note: This option is only displayed when the consent center is enabled.

Possible versions of the default opt-out form
  • If there is no consent center
    OR
  • If the project only has 1 opt-in field
When the consent center is enabled, the contact must be able to:
  • unsubscribe from the current opt-in
If there is no consent center, the contact is deactivated.
The following versions are only available when the consent center is enabled.
  • Displays when the communication type is Administrative.
The contact cannot opt-out from this type of communication.
  • Displays when the project has at least 2 opt-in fields
    AND
  • the contact has subscribed only to this the communication type related to the receive message
The contact must be able to:
  • unsubscribe from the current opt-in
  • unsubscribe from ALL available communications (as to not receive anything anymore)
In this situation, we still want to offer a global opt-out (it's the law, and you don't want an implied consent to cause other types of communications to be sent).
  • Displays if the project has at least 2 opt-in fields
    AND
  • the contact has subscribed to at least one opt-in other that the current one.
The contact must be able to:
  • unsubscribe from the current opt-in
  • unsubscribe any of the listed opt-ins (one check box per opt-in and one button to confirm)
  • unsubscribe from ALL available communications (as to not receive anything anymore)
The list of check boxes only shows the active opt-ins for the contact, that is those opt-in fields where the value is Subscribed). This is NOT a profile form, but only a mean of opting out. So when a contact has subscribed to more than one communication type, a list of all opt-ins are shown so he can make the necessary changes.
