Connecting an SFTP Server

To automate imports or exports to an SFTP server, you must configure a connection between this server and DI. Then, you can configure an automation for exports and imports with this server. The data are encrypted during the transfer using the SFTP protocol. FTP protocol is not supported.

Access path: Project → Data Management → Imports/Exports → Remote servers

Requirements

  • Have a local server (hosted on a domain or locally in a computer).

Step 1: Create the Connection

Follow the access path to go to the server list and click Create a server. Give the server a name and select the protocol:If you use an SSH authentication key, select the SFTP (SSH) protocol.

In the next section, provide the parameters to connect to the server:

  • Description: You can describe the function of the server (import or export, content, department, etc.).
  • Server address: IP address or domain name, without the protocol prefix (without sftp://)
  • Port: If you use a standard port for the selected protocol, leave this field empty (SFTP generally uses port 22).
  • Login and Password: These 2 options are not required, but it is recommended that you configure a password for your server.

Once the description and parameters have been defined, click Save, and then Activate to make the server active and available for selection.

Step 2: Test the Connection

In the test page, click Test connection and verify that the connection is a success:
