This feature provides the ability to transfer answers provided in surveys into the profile of contacts who have completed the survey. To perform this transfer, the survey first needs to be sent using a message, so that the answers can be associated to a contact. Transferring answers from the survey to the profile requires that you indicate how you want the profiles to be updated, choose with answers you wish to transfer and specify in which project field the answer should be entered. This is done as soon as a survey is completed. Configuration must therefore be done before the survey is put online to get the most results.

How To
- In the list of under construction surveys, select the survey whose answers you want to include in profiles and click Edit.
- In the survey edit page, select the Profile update menu.
- If not already enabled, click on Update the profile when the survey is completed.
- Then, specify how you want fields to be updated, either by completing only fields that are empty or to update all fields in the project (whether it already has a value or not).
- Click Save.
- In the Fields to be updatedsection, select the answers you wish to transfer in the profile and in which field to copy each answer.
- To associate an answer to a field, click on Transfer an answer.
- Choose a question from the list of eligible questions in the survey. Questions whose answers are presented as radio buttons or matrices cannot be transferred.
- Click Add.
- Then displays the Field field where you need to select the project field where you want to transfer the selected answer. Note that only fields that have the same field value format are shown in the list. Also, fields composing the primary key cannot be updated, so they are excluded from the list of available fields. The same field can only be used once. However, the same answer can be transferred in more than one field in the project.
- Click Add.
The answer/field combination is added to the list.
Once the survey is put online and contacts complete it, the selected answers will be transferred in the related fields in the profile.
