When you are done creating your automated campaign and you are ready to deploy it, you have 3 steps left: validate the campaign to fix the errors, test it to verify there are no execution problems and finally activate it.
Step 1: Validate the Campaign
Errors
To activate the campaign, errors must be fixed. Often, the errors are missing or incomplete elements: a targeting, a communication type or a message. You can consult the details on the errors to fix in the upper right:
Additional Options
Verify that the additional options correspond to your use. To open the additional options, click the 3 dots in the upper right:
Verify if the default parameters for the options are suitable for your use:
It is strongly recommended to verify the Contact entry frequency, the Priority and the Time zone.
Step 2: Test the Campaign
Once your scenario is error-free, the Test button becomes available:
The instructions to run the test will appear on the left-hand panel when you enter in the Test mode.
You must then select the trigger (green). In the trigger edition, edit the Targeting to add a test group*. Then, click Launch a test:*You must create a group test to test your campaign.
→ Learn more about test groups
The test will execute the campaign to the contacts of the test group selected, therefore we recommend you check the contacts prior to executing the test. Furthermore, tests cannot have more than 100 contacts. You can use the Count button to verify that you are below the threshold.
During the execution, and if your campaign contains delays, you must click on the Play sign on each delay (Awaiting):
If an errors occurs an error message will be displayed next to the white square.
Note: If you have multiple triggers, you must test each individually.
Execution History
You can check the history of your tests in the History tab. You will see the status for each execution and consult the test if needed, which can be helpful when you are make changes to the campaign between tests.
Step 3: Activate the Campaign
Once the campaign is validated and tested, click the Activate button. A popup will ask you to choose the frequency contacts should enter the scenario and then activate the campaign.
Option 1 can be useful for recurrent campaigns in which the contact can stay for a long time.
Option 3 is used to define a maximum of times for a period.
