Creating an Opt-In or a Profile Update Form (Options Overview)

Dialog Insight provides an opt-in workflow and a profile update workflow as well. Both contain editable templates (opt-in/update form, confirmation page, welcome email). The flow starts with a lead or contact who clicks on a link (1) that redirects to a confirmation page (2). When the form is submitted, the new subscriber/contact is redirected to a confirmation page (3). An email can then be sent to welcome the subscriber or to give additional info (4).

*You must generate a workflow for each language.

An opt-in form could be used to update an existing contact (depending on the selected update mode). The difference is that the update form is pre-filled with the contact's known data, while an opt-in form will be empty.

To use the opt-in workflow, you have 2 hosting options:

1. Hosted by Dialog Insight
If you decide to host your form on Dialog Insight's server, a link to the hosted form will be generated, which you can copy into a message, an interceptor or a page from your website.

2. Hosted on your website
If you decide to integrate the form directly into your website, the workflow will generate the code (HTML and CSS) for the form and you will need to integrate in the page(s) from your website where you want the form to be displayed.
