When you are done reviewing your survey, it is time to publish the survey. Make sure you don't need to make any changes to the survey since, once it is online, it becomes more complicated to make changes. You can still edit it, but you need to unpublish it, which involves deleting all the answers that have been collected.
Access path: Audience → Survey → Publish |
Step 1: Publish the Survey
When the survey is ready, click Publish:
You then have to specify if you want to make the survey accessible online. You can choose No in the case you want to display a message such as "this survey is not yet available" when someone visits the page.
You can also specify a period during which the survey is online. It is possible to put a starting starting date without putting an ending date or to put an ending date without putting a starting date.
You can limit the survey so it ends after a certain number of answers.
Completed responses: Number of respondents who finish the survey and answer all the required questions.
Responses: Number of respondents who started or abandoned the survey, including the completed responses.
Step 2: Define the Survey Availability
Define if necessary, the following availability options.
Access to survey | To suspend the survey without deleting the answers. |
Access to response summary | To define if the respondents can access the response summary. Note: To enable this option, you must ask our team to make modifications to the survey template. |
Access to public statistics | To define if the respondents can access the public statistics. This option is often used on a website for a vox pop, which displays the answers afterwards. Note: To enable this option, you must ask our team to make modifications to the survey template. |
Step 3: Share the Survey
To share the survey with your contacts, insert it in a communication. For an email, you could insert the survey in a call-to-action button. In the button edition, click the DI tools icon, then select your survey in the Surveys option:
The link inserted in your message will remain functional if you unpublish the survey (to edit it) and then publish it again. However, you will lose the answers already collected.
