It is possible to publish the entire content of a content created in Dialog Insight by adding to your Facebook page the related Dialog Insight applications. Four different Dialog Insight applications can be used to publish content:

  • Message - Application used to publish a specific message or a Web archived message, created in Dialog Insight.
  • Microsite - Application used to publish a microsite created in Dialog Insight's content manager, or an arbitrary link.
  • Workflow - Application used to publish a workflow created by par Dialog Insight, such as a opt-in form, or to publish an arbitrary link.
  • Survey - Application used to publish a survey created in Dialog Insight.

Once added, these applications display in the left pane menu of your Facebook page. Their name and images can be edited the application related settings of your Facebook page.

Content published on Facebook must be adapted to fit the available width of your Facebook pages (810 px or less). For more information, view Facebook's help. If you need to review your page templates in Dialog Insight, contact us to discuss the possible changes.

Adding a Dialog Insight application to your Facebook page is the same for all applications. Each application must be added separately from a link that IS NOT in Facebook, but in Dialog Insight's social media publication page.

Prerequisite
  • Have a Facebook account - For your content to be referenced on your Facebook page, you must necessarily have a Facebook account AND have administrative rights. For help on this topic, view Facebook's help. You can also publish a message on your personal wall if you do not have a company page. In such a case, you will need to access your Facebook page and authorize Dialog Insight to access your page data.

  • You must have created at least one Dialog Insight page to receive one or all of Dialog Insight applications.

Note:Publishing messages, or any other content, on social media requires the use of the message editor in version 2.

 How To

Step 1 - Add the Dialog Insight application to your Facebook page
  1. If not already done, connect to the Facebook account where you want to add a Dialog Insight application and create at least one page to receive these applications.
  2.  

    To create a page on your Facebook account:

    1. Click on the option Create Page.

    2. Once the page is created, Facebook displays the page settings so you can specify information about the page, add an image as well as identify its preferred audience. Once settings are defined, make sure to save them.
  3. Return to Dialog Insight, on the publication page and click on the + sign next to the line Add a Dialog Insight application to your Facebook page.
  4. Click on the button corresponding to the application you wish to add to your page.
  5. In the Facebook page that displays, select in the drop down list the page on which you wish to add the tab for this application.
  6. Click on Add Page Tab.
    A new login page to Dialog Insight opens. Just close it.
  7. Once the application is added, you will see your Facebook page with the Dialog Insight application displayed. Just click on the page you want to access and where you want to publish Dialog Insight content.
Step 2 - Authorize publication on Facebook
  1. Return to the publication page in Dialog Insight:
    • Account Management > Social Network > Publication
      OR
    • Publication under Social Network in the right pane menu
  2. Click on Authorize publication to Facebook.
    Once the page is authorized, this button will no longer show.
Step 3 - Add content on your Facebook page

Once publication is authorized, you must select and add the message, microsite, survey or workflow to be published on your Facebook page. (through Account Management > Social Network > Publication).

How to publish a message
  1. To add a message created in Dialog Insight, scroll to the Message section and click on Add.
  2. In the configuration window, select the Facebook page on which you want to publish the message (Dialog Insight in the example below), indicate the source of the message (a specific message or the last one sent).
  3. It is important to specify an alternate page in the event the message cannot be displayed.
  4. And lastly, set the publication status to Yes.
    Once the message is defined, click Add.

  5. Go back to your Facebook account, on the Messages page (or any other name you have provided) and refresh the page. The selected message should display.
How to publish a workflow (form)
  1. To add a workflow (form) created in Dialog Insight, scroll to the Workflow section and click on Add.
  2. In the configuration window, select the Facebook page on which you want to publish the workflow (Dialog Insight in the example below), select also the workflow from the list of existing ones, as well as the entry point, that is how the form is accessed.
  3. If you prefer displaying a link to the form, you just need to select this option and indicate the URL of this link.
  4. It is important to specify an alternate page in the event the form cannot be displayed.
  5. And lastly, set the publication status to Yes.
    Once the workflow is defined, click Add.

  6. Go back to your Facebook account, on the Workflow page (or any other name you have provided) and refresh the page. The selected form should display.
How to publish a survey
  1. To add a survey created in Dialog Insight, scroll to the Survey section and click on Add.
  2. In the configuration window, select the Facebook page on which you want to publish the survey (Dialog Insight in the example below), select also the survey from the list of existing ones, as well as the language of the survey to use.
  3. It is important to specify an alternate page in the event the survey cannot be displayed.
  4. And lastly, set the publication status to Yes.
    Once the survey is defined, click Add.

  5. Go back to your Facebook account, on the Survey page (or any other name you have provided) and refresh the page. The selected survey should display.
How to publish a Web page
  1. To add a Web page created in Dialog Insight, scroll to the Website section and click on Add.
  2. In the configuration window, select the Facebook page on which you want to publish the web page (Dialog Insight in the example below), select also the microsite from the list of existing ones, as well as the web page and the language.
  3. If you prefer displaying a link to the Web page, you just need to select this option and indicate the URL of this link.
  4. It is important to specify an alternate page in the event the Web page cannot be displayed.
  5. And lastly, set the publication status to Yes.
    Once the survey is defined, click Add.

  6. Go back to your Facebook account, on the Website page (or any other name you have provided) and refresh the page. The selected Web page should display.
