Viewing project global results

Project results are calculated for a given project and allow you to view statistics, for defined periods or for specific communication types.

You can view summary results or specific detailed results.The application offers 4 different project result pages:

  • Summary
  • Sent
  • Views 
  • Clicked

View the summary results of a project

The summary page shows a summary of all available results about a project. For instance, it show how many messages were viewed and clicked over the total number of message sent.

  1. By default, it is the result summary page that displays. However, if you are on a detailed result page, you can simply choose the Summary page in the list of available pages.
  2. Select the time period for which you want to view results. By default, a 6 month period is selected, but it can be changed at any time by choosing the desired time frame in the Period field, by typing the specific start en end dates in the proper format (yyyy.mm.dd) or by clicking directly in the calendar on the desired start and end dates (the selected period shows highlighted). To edit the display period, click on the calendar icon .

    Description of time periods
    CustomThis option lets you choose any start and end date directly in the calendar. Note that each click in the calendar alternates between the start and end date. So if you want to change the right date, be sure to check which date is highlighted.
    The display of results in the chart is done by month if the period covers more than 60 days; otherwise, the display is done by day.
    7 last days7 days period including and ending on the current date.
    The display of results in the chart is done by day.
    Last month1 month period including and ending on the current date. The period correspond to one month before the end date, + one day. For example, if the end date is February 15, the start date will be January 16.
    The display of results in the chart is done by day.
    3 last months3 month period including and ending on the current date. The months preceding the current month are always shown entirely and therefore always start on the first day of the month; however, since the the current month ends on the current date, it can be incomplete.
    The display of results in the chart is done by month.
    6 last months6 month period including and ending on the current date. The months preceding the current month are always shown entirely and therefore always start on the first day of the month; however, since the current month ends on the current date, it can be incomplete.
    The display of results in the chart is done by month.
    Last year12 month period including and ending on the current date. The months preceding the current month are always shown entirely and therefore always start on the first day of the month; however, since the current month ends on the current date, it can be incomplete.

    AllPeriod starting at the creation date of the project and ending on the current date.
    The display of results in the chart can be done by day, month or year, depending on the length of the covered period:
    • If the period covers less than 63 days, the display of results is done by day.
    • If the period covers between 63 days and less than 26 months,the display of results is done by month.
    • If the period covers 26 months or more, the display of results is done by year.
  3. Specify the communication type for which you want to view results. By default, all communication types are included in the results. However, you can choose only one communication type to view those specific results.
    All available communication types are those that were created for the project. (For more information, see Adding a communication type)
  4. The related results are shown, both in a chart and in a table.

    Description of results shown in the table Total and average for the period
    Total sentTotal number of messages sent to the destination server.
    Total viewsTotal number of delivered messages opened by recipients (by either downloading images or clicking on a link).
    Total clickedTotal number of messages in which at least one link was clicked.
    View ratePercentage of delivered messages that were opened.
    Clicked ratePercentage of delivered messages in which at least one link was clicked.
    Description of results show in the chart Sending volumes  
    SentNumber of messages sent for the entire project. Is considered sent a message that has reached the destination server, whether it was delivered or not to the message recipients.
    ViewsNumber of messages in the project that were opened, either by downloading an image or clicking on a link.
    ClickedNumber of messages in the project in which at least one link was clicked.
  5. If needed, you can hide some results from the chart by clicking on the corresponding item in the legend. To show that item again, just click again on the legend item.
  • So if you click on the items Sent and Views, you will only see in the chart the line showing the number of clicked messages.
View the number of sent messages in a project

The page that displays results about sent messages shows, on the total number of messages sent, how many were delivered and how many were not delivered due to errors.

  1. By default, the summary page of results is shown. To change the page, select the Sent page in the list of available result pages.
  2. Select the time period for which you want to view results.     Total sentTotal number of messages sent to the destination server.
    Total bouncesTotal number of messages in error, therefore not delivered. Are considered in error messages meeting the following conditions:
    • Unknown, full or deactivated inbox
    • Destination server, Internet communication, delivery protocol or format conversion error
    • Integrity or security policy error
    • Other undetermined error
    Total deliveriesTotal number of delivered messages.
    Total sent - Total bounces = Total deliveries
    Error ratePercentage of messages in error, therefore not delivered.
    Delivery ratePercentage of messages delivered to recipients.

    SentNumber of messages in the project sent to the destination server.
    ErrorsNumber of messages in the project that were not delivered to recipients due to errors.
    DeliveriesNumber of messages in the project who were delivered to recipients.
  5. To see the chart results in number, click on the + sign next to the Data label; the results will show in a table, below the chart. You can also click in the chart itself, on any line, to see the specify results for that day, month or year, depending on the display period.
  6. If needed, you can hide some results from the chart by clicking on the corresponding item in the legend. To show that item again, just click again on the legend item.
  • Si if you click on the item Errors, you will see in the chart only those lines related to the number of messages sent and delivered.
View the number of opened messages in the project

The page that displays results about opened messages shows the total number of opened (viewed) messages (either by a click or a downloaded image), and amongst those messages, how many were opened on mobile devices as opposed to being opened on a desktop computer.

  1. By default, the summary page of results is shown. To change the page, select the Views page in the list of available result pages.
  2. Select the time period for which you want to view results. By default, a 6 month period is selected, but it can be changed at any time by choosing the desired time frame in the Period field, by typing the specific start en end dates in the proper format (yyyy.mm.dd) or by clicking directly in the calendar on the desired start and end dates (the selected period shows highlighted).     Description of results shown in the table Total and average for the period
    Total viewsTotal number of opened messages in the project. In this total, we take into account all the times a message was opened; therefore, if a recipient opened the same message 3 times, 3 views will be counted in the total views.
    Unique viewsNumber of distinctive messages opened. In this total, we only take into account the first time a message is opened; so if a recipient opens the same message twice, it will only count for 1 view.
    Average views / sendingAverage number of sent messages that were opened.
    Average views / deliveryAverage number of delivered messages that were opened. This average is more realistic as messages that were not delivered can obviously not be opened.
    Description of results shown in the chart Views volumes  
    Views Number of messages in the project that were opened by recipients. A message is considered opened (and viewed) when the recipient has either downloaded an image or clicked on a link in the message.
    Mobile viewsNumber of messages in the project that were opened on mobile devices (phones, tablets or consoles).
    Desktop viewsNumber of messages in the project that were opened on computers (desktop, portable or other unknown source).
  5. To see the chart results in number, click on the + sign next to the Data label; the results will show in a table, below the chart. You can also click in the chart itself, on any line, to see the specify results for that day, month or year, depending on the display period.
  6. If needed, you can hide some results from the chart by clicking on the corresponding item in the legend. To show that item again, just click again on the legend item.
  • So if you click on both items Views  and Desktop views, you will only see in the chart the line corresponding to the number of messages opened on mobile devices.
View the number of clicked messages in the project

    Description of results shown in the table Total and average for the period
    Total clicksTotal number of links clicked in all the messages of the project. If a contact has clicked 3 times on the same link, it it will counted as 3 clicks in the total clicks.
    Unique clicksNumber of distinctive links clicked in all the messages of the project. If a contact has clicked twice on the same link, only one click will be calculated in the number of unique clicks, as only the first click in the message is taken into account. The number of unique clicks also corresponds to the number of different persons who clicked in a message.
    Average click per messageNumber of links clicked in average by message. The average is calculated from the total number of unique clicks, where only the fist time a link is clicked is accounted for, in the same message by the same recipient.
    Rate click / sendingsNumber of unique clicks in the project based on the number of sent messages.
    Rate click / deliveriesNumber of unique clicks in the project based on the number of delivered messages.
    Rate click / viewsNumber of unique clicks in the project based on the number of viewed messages.

    ClickedNumber of unique clicks amongst all the messages in the project.
    Mobile clicksNumber of unique clicks performed in messages opened on mobile devices (phones, tablets and consoles).
    Desktop clicksNumber of unique clicks performed in messages opened on computers (desktop, portable or other unknown source).
